What happens on the weekend?

The weekend is led by a team of two married couples and a priest who share their personal experiences during presentations. The team will guide you as you explore many topics individually and as a couple. Topics include an introspective look at yourself, relational communication, conflict resolution, finances, sexuality, God and church.

Following each presentation, you will individually reflect on the topics using different
activities and thought-provoking questions. After your personal reflection, you and
your partner privately share your thoughts and ideas.

Do you have to be Catholic?

The Catholic Engaged Encounter program is open to all couples considering marriage. Even though our weekend follows the Catholic Church’s teachings, many couples who attend our weekends come from many other denominations. All are welcome!

What are the origins of CEE?

CEE is an outgrowth of Worldwide Marriage Encounter serving engaged
couples nationwide since 1968 and the St. Paul/Minneapolis Archdiocese since 1979.
CEE is self-supporting. You will be given the opportunity to make a freewill offering
during the course of the weekend.
